Schools Home

Beginning in Fall 2018, Odessa College will “retire” the MetaMajor title, and transition to a structure of 5 “Schools." The concept and effect of the Schools structure is the same: increased student success through more easily accessible and flexible planning and scheduling. The five new designated Schools will be: The Odessa College School of STEM, The Odessa College School of Business and Industry, The Odessa College School of Health Sciences, The Odessa College School of Arts and Humanities, and The Odessa College School of Public Service and Education.

Continuing Education

The Odessa College Continuing Education Department impacts individual, community, and economic enrichment through lifelong learning activities that promote personal and professional development. We offer fast-track, flexible classes and programs that do not require college admission. Our students range from individuals seeking personal enrichment to persons training for a new job skill. We also serve business and industry by retraining for their employees through customized training or existing continuing education offerings. We invite you to review our offerings in the areas of Community Services, Health Careers and Workforce Development.

Dual Credit

Dual Credit is a program for high school Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors to take college courses while in high school and receive credits for both high school graduation and a college degree. Dual Credit students could earn more than 40 hours of college credit by the time they graduate from high school.

Adult Basic Education

Providing educational opportunities both for adults who have not completed secondary education (GED/TxCHSE) and for adults who need to learn the English language (English Language Learners - ELL). To be eligible, students must be beyond compulsory school age and officially withdrawn from public school. ABE, ESOL and GED classes may also be held off campus at other locations.

At OC Weekend College, you can earn your Associate Degree in just two years of weekend classes! Maintain current work, family, or other week-day commitments while you go to college on the weekends.
